Preparation Horseshow

Cappy was doing well under saddle again. He got fitter through the winter, doing trot sets, canter sets, starting over fences again.

Because I am an enormous pansy, we started to make the jumps more interesting. I subscribe to the Jimmy Wofford concept of "the horse should take care of the jumping, since lord knows the rider will fail him." [interpretation mine] I wanted Cappy to comfortable with whatever he may see.

We jumped corners (What do you mean we haven't even run Baby Novice yet?)

We jumped Xs

We schooled the cross country fences we had...

3'4" post and rail

But it was time to take my baby horse schooling over actual cross country jumps, before we entered a show.

Details to follow...
