| The Ghetto |
Life in the Ghetto wasn't all bad, but the stalls were small and it was a hike down to the indoor. When two stalls were available in Lower barn, Klaus and Cappy made the move.
The matted stalls were pretty much twelve by twelve, there were two cold water wash racks, and a shared automatic water between every two stalls. Sure, the door of the other wise well built stall may have been a plywood panel with holes drilled that allowed for the heavy duty electric wire "hinges" to be twisted through, but... it was nice to be down at the main barn, where the action was.
Klaus and Cappy shared a waterer. Up until this point, Cappy was a fastidious sort of eater. Klaus, however, was a dunker. Hay was frequently left in the waterer, to Cappy's dismay.
Until, apparently, he tried it. Ummm. Soaked hay... Almost like grass... Nom nomo nom.
For the rest of his life, Cappy was a dunker.
Thanks, Klaus.
